Dylan got me an absolutely lovely card and mug. It amazes me how IT literate my 15 month old is! I'm insisting my morning brew is only made in my new mug from now on though!
It's been a productive twenty four hours. Last night I sewed my tomatoes (Ailsa Craig and Moneymaker), sweet pepper (California Wonder), aubergines (a pretty little white and purple striped container type called Calliope), basil and Greek oregano. The latter two will be companion planted with my fruiting veg, along with chard and marigolds, which I'll sew directly to their final home.
We spent this morning foraging for literally a bucket load of nettles. A bagful is being turned into a 'Mother's Day Pie' by Alex. The rest will be rotted down to make nettle tea to feed my tomatoes, pepper and aubergines.
One slight problem, I've already run out of windowsill room and I've got a LOT left to sew over few weeks. Time to adopt the bedroom windowsills to the Edible Yard cause!
